The motor incorporates a reduction gearbox providing slow and precise positioning of the output shaft together with increased output torque. 28BYJ48 geared stepper motors are widely used in household appliances, including air-conditioning systems, air dampers and other automatic positioning mechanisms.

This version operates from 12 V DC and uses a 5-wire connection cable terminated with the connector shown in the product photographs. Cable length is approximately 150 mm.
